Our BOat
El Gordito
Our boat, “El Gordito”, is a beautiful classic boat, a 12 meter long llaüt with a cabin and a bathroom. It is a spacious and very comfortable sailboat with everything you need for a fun and enjoyable excursion for up to 9 people plus the professional skipper.
Sailing in an old llaüt of Majorcan construction is a pleasure within the reach of a minority of sailors

The llaüt “El Gordito” was built around 1900 in Portocolom according to the artisan techniques of the mestres d’aixa. There, in the brine, its pine wood with some elements of oak dried in the moonlight for three years before taking shape. A guarantee of stability in their fishing activities. At that time, leisure on board a boat was limited to the most exclusive yachts and a few steamers destined for tourist excursions. It is therefore an emblematic example of a traditional boat whose typology is in progressive extinction.
It has a large deck for sunbathing, a seating area in the cockpit, comfortable deckchairs, and a bathing platform that facilitates access to the sea. It has a kitchen with refrigerator, oven and stove with all the necessary utensils. It has a stern shower with hot and cold water. We also have on board for our clients to paddle a paddle surf board, as well as diving masks, so they can enjoy a fun activity.
We also have a loudspeaker system with Bluetooth connection. And of course, in the boat there are all the necessary safety elements for a safe navigation.
BOAT TRIP MALLORCA WITH CATA SIMO, is located in the port of Palma de Mallorca, on the Paseo Marítimo of the city a few minutes from the center of Palma. And also very close to the tourist and commercial activity of the capital.
My warmest thanks for the spectacular photo session of "El Gordito" from my friend Jesus Renedo. (jrenedo.photoshelter.com)
